Unmarried celebrates this festival in the want of a good groom. It's stated that as the earth prepares itself for rain, similarly unmarried also prepares itself, and prays for a happy life.

For the primary three days, ladies eat raw food, don't take salt, and these three days they don't even put on slippers. These three days ladies can't cut or peel anything, nor any sort of digging is done on the earth. Waking up earlier than daybreak on the first day, applying sandalwood turmeric, washing the head and taking a shower, the remaining two days are not bathed on this festival.

Mithuna Sankranti Puja Vidhi

• A paste is made right into a paste by grinding turmeric, sandalwood, flowers, which all ladies wake up in the morning and bathe in their bodies.
